Where to EAT in Baguio?
Whether you are a local or a tourist, probably this is one hard question for some, especially if your wife is the one asking (just kidding). Now, if you are from Baguio let me suggest one resto that probably you haven’t been but it gets a lot of good reviews by tourist, in fact it has 4.2 STAR in google search 5 STAR in Facebook, and guess what it’s the only resto under his category that reached that ratings and its no other than MINI SHABU-SHABU. Mini Shabu-Shabu is located at 2nd floor SM City Baguio, Luneta Hill Upper Session Road, Baguio City.
Just a quick history, Shabu-shabu is a type of technique typically used in Japanese cuisine, this was first introduced in Osaka.
Shabu-Shabu was inspired by the ancient Chinese hot pot cooking method. Traditionally, the meat is dipped and stirred around in the savory soup in a pot which is placed at the center of the table. Veg., tender slices of pork, beef, seafoods, crab sticks, etc. are dipped into the soup. And as soon as the meat turns a lighter color, which takes no more than 20 seconds, it is “fished” out of the broth and eaten with one of the sauces provided.
Mini shabu-shabu is open from 10am to 9pm daily, location is so accessible since its inside SM City Baguio, price range is P250.00 to P2,500.00 which I think is really ideal if you’re a family since most of their set meals are for sharing, ambiance is a Rockstar(wall painting, chairs and tables are comfortable, Lightnings are perfect for this type of Resto in short this is a family style ambiance restaurant), when it comes to sanitation I would rate them 9.4/10, and lastly excellent staff, approachable, friendly and so knowledgeable about their products. And I’m not surprised to rate MINI SHABU-SHABU, Baguio 5 star.
