Fried steaks were introduced most likely of German Immigrants in the mid-19th century. The popular dish is known as wiener schnitzel, this is a breaded fried veal cutlet. Since we have less resources of veal in the market, we are using BEEF in this recipe with a Pinoy twist version.

Ingredients

  • ½ kg beef tenderloin
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • ¼ tbsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp calamansi juice
  • 1 tbsp vetsin MSG
  • 1 beaten egg

Instructions

  • Cut beef into thin slices. Season with salt, calamansi juice, pepper, and MSG. Let stand for ½ hour.
  • Dip in beaten egg, roll on bread crumbs. Deep fry until golden brown. Serve with catsup.
